Thunderbird Club

That's bad.

But funny!

I believe so. They're the modern ones that sound darker than the originals.
The CP came with the USA Gibson ceramic Tbird+ pickups.

The main differences between the CP and the Gibson of the same era were:
CP had a 7ply through neck. The Gibson was 9 ply.
CP finish was poly. The Gibson finish was nitro.
CP tuners were clones. The Gibson had real Grovers.
CP had Epi pots (whatever they were using at the time, Alpha, etc.) The Gibson had the Gibson labeled pots.
CP had an asian produced three point. The Gibson three point is, (or at least used to be) US made.
CP sold for approximately $1000 or more less than the Gibson, depending on the year.

Both had 1.5 nuts. Some players posted on TB, BassChat, etc., that they could tell a difference between the two necks while others said they couldn’t tell a difference.

Some players report that early, around 2013, CP’s had the neck pickup placed a little closer to the neck than later ones.

I still kick myself for not buying a white CP when they were readily available.
