The Angry Bird.

do you recall if any of the Greco Birds ever came with bridge/pup covers?....it would seem like there's no room for the bridge cover on a IV...

All the 77/78 Greco-birds come with a bridge cover...or just the holes from when they had one. I think I heard they ditched the cover in the 80s. I haven't seen one with a factory pickup cover.

Cool. Just watch the pickup placement on that body in the lower left corner. It’s a pretty big knot and strategically placed to make things difficult.
It didn't directly replace the Bach, but eventually did. It's a great bass and I really love it. The neck on the Bach feels better tho. It makes me happy that someone like you ended up with my Bach and truly appreciates it.
Likewise with Marshall and my BaCH. Couldn’t have gone to a better person.

I know there is an anti-Amazon feeling around here but given folks looking at recording equipment...I saw this bundle.

I did a lot of research on and off over more than a year. I wanted an IOS compatible device. I settled on the Foscusrite 2i2 4th Gen model as a fist step into the recording world. The conclusion I came to was that while interfaces have been around for years, many fell short in some way or another unless you had a pretty good computer. It seems the latest generation of affordable devices are now ready for prime time.

I don’t know where that one from Amazon fits in the pecking order of what is available. The price is right. But It is older tech. I dismissed it after seeing this review and determining it would not do what I wanted.

When Uwe Hornung visited my home, he played that bass and commented "that bass, that's a razor" and it is. I don't really like the term "cuts thru the mix" but with this bass notes really have a clear definition, a bit different than all the passive Birds. I'm always glad I have it, because at certain places it the perfect bass to play.

Another positive attribute is that it looks amazing!!

I bought that package (Except it came with monitors) a couple years ago when we were first trying to start a podcast. It all seemed like good entry level stuff for what I was doing and we still use the monitors and headphones, with the mic on reserve for a backup. I tried recording some bass things with it and it worked fine, but I don't really know how it works for recording music as I barely tested it for that. Ultimately went with a different setup for the show, but I could have used that kit without issue.

They still offer the package with monitors, but that adds another $100.
