I'd play that.Victory body with Piezo pickup, Gibson did some rare Explorers as well.

I've got a set on the Heckinhecker. They've been on it for a couple years now, I still like them.

I have to say, everything I've read about those basses is very positive, I certainly don't rule one out in my future.

You too, huh. I really like her, no BS in anything she does.
I got me one of them. Already had a Hipshot bridge, but I changed the pickguard and put a Gibson Thunderbird re-issue in it.
The thumbrest is a crutch, but it is only screwed into the aftermarket pickguard and the screw that looks like it goes into the body, is just the screw head glued in the rest. I can totally put this back to stock with no mods showing.
Some short scale 110-50 EBCFs, tuned D standard and this thing is a lot of fun to play and sounds spectacular!

I like it a lot... I was able to get one of the last new lefty ones out the door.
I had to clean up some soldering issues on the pickup, and I shielded it, but with LaBellas on its wonderfully thumpy.

I have one, they’re pretty rare. Sounds a lot like a UBass, which isn’t a bad thing, but pretty different in scale and sound and feel from just about anything else you’ve ever played. With practice and the right amp settings and low bypass filter to tame the piezo fret noise you can get some pretty interesting upright type sounds out of it, but you have to be committed to it.
