Thunderbird Club

My capo use is pretty much limited to learning new songs in a hurry from a recording in a different key. I take one to gigs in case there's a key change I don't want to cope with in the moment (still trying to get back to where I was on guitar that I didn't need to do that) but in ~10 years of playing have had to do that exactly once.
Why I bought the Pitch Fork pedal.

I recommend this as well. I have their standard PJ set, but definitely interested in the Relentless line as well.
Good to know! That bass is in line for some work. It has awful fret sprout. I’m hesitant to do it myself because of the binding on the neck. I may just get a set of pickups and drop it off at a reputable shop to install them and dress the frets.

I'm really curious about those Relentless ones. Especially for my Carvin. But although they have the adjustable pole pieces, the radius of them could look silly against the 12" or 14" radius of its fretboard.

I'll skip the adventure and stick to Subway and Berg cabs.

Cant replace a capo for doing setups tho... unless you bungee it to the neck.
I know that's the proper way to do it, but I have never used a capo for setups on a bass or guitar in 40s yrs of playing and doing my own setups and some for others. Nor do a measure. When it feels right, it is right (for me).

I will add that I have been working on a P-bass and put a set of GZR pickups in it and they sound fantastic. Definitely one to consider. Also, the install was a solderless kit and took about a half an hour. It was painless (no pun intended) and the instructions were super clear and the components were high quality.
