I put the HB1 tuners and BT1 extender on my 2017 Epiphone VP, which had the earlier, smaller Wilkinson tuners. Two holes lined up perfectly, two were slightly off. I drilled them 1/8”, glued in dowels and screwed the slightly off ones in fresh
Cool! I think I might have a set that never sold of 3 or 4 HB1s and a BT1. I decided to price them at about 150 or so back then because they weren't the lic version. Anyway, I should be set then. Thanks for getting back with me.

We are adding Sheriff to our play list. First rehearsal tonight for that song, along with House of the Rising Sun and That's What Love Will Make You Do. We don't have a keyboardist, so it will be interesting to see what the 6 stringers have in mind.
Which versions of Sheriff & House will inspire yours?

Better man than I. I would have lied and said my fingers were numb and just couldn't play right now. :smug:
I would be shy about it showing off my lack of skill, but I can't imagine anyone in this group later thinking or saying, "man, he really does suck, he wasn't kidding." We've all learned by now that no matter how good you are, there's 100s players no one has heard of or ever will who are "better." My thing is if I can do what my band context calls for and people get along with me, I'm the best guy for the job, even if there is plenty of "talent" lacking.
There you have it!

If i can knoodle around on bass at 1 in the morning at Chucks, with bare feet............:smug:

I’m out at the Opera House for Tommy Emmanuel.
He walks on to applause and says “it’s good to be home!” to cheers of course. Then he says he is doing 2 sets, so he is the support and gonna make it hard for “the next guy” meaning himself of course.

Wow! I bet that was fantastic. Envious, in a good way.

Absolutely brilliant. He gave a new Maton guitar its maiden show to start the second set. Beautiful.
He mentioned he gets asked about special precautions he takes transporting his guitars, does he buy an extra seat in the plane etc??? Answer no. He has cases and checks them in. Then he says every guitar he has taken on plane trips has been broken by the airline baggage crew at least once. He holds up the guitar he just played… 4 times broken. He says you just get on with it and get them fixed. He spoke about 2 being broken the day he arrived in Budapest for a show. He used gaffa tape and used judicious hand grips to hold them together. A great Hungarian guy repaired them before the next show in another city.
2nd set included a 5or 6 song Beatles medley, and a brilliant song Mombassa, that he wrote in Africa. Song? That was an experience more than just a song.

New stand for my TBirds

Well, the Non-Reverse isn't on it; there wasn't enough space, and it didn't work visually...

I know, only one is a "real" Gibson.
But the White one has Gibson tuners and bridge, CTS pots, Eric Custom pickups (9.5K & 14K !!!).
The Vintage are.........in progress...

The white one has the Eric black "modern" pickups? What do you think of them compared to the stock Gibsons, assuming that's a CP.
