Great! Now that I have no more use for one, one shows up.This rare one is still up. Must not be willing to negotiate on it?

you'd dig this local....Hit it, Chuck!
Nice! Glad to hear C.A.B. M is working out well for you!I don’t get much time to post (or even look) on here these days, but thought I’d stick my nose in with some NSFW shots of my girl Frankie.
I bought this brand new in 2010 - my first ever USA-made instrument, back when I was delivering pizzas and living with my parents. These days I’m living a more corporate/family life and I’ve sold off the rest of the collection (sadly breaking up my holy trinity of a USA P, Ricky and T-Bird), but this one is for life.
She’s been through a few bands with me and hopefully has a few more in her yet, even if gigging is a bit less frequent these days.
Specs:
• Bridge and tuners are Hipshot (no complaints with the original three-point, I just couldn’t find a good nickel one - still reckon they look better)
• Pickups are Duncan Custom Shop Alnico V, wound by MJ and a little hotter than standard, the bridge especially (not as hot as stock Gibson)
• Wiring has been replaced with cloth push-back and the cap is paper in oil, for extra voodoo
• Strap pins are Schaller locking
• I’ve tried plenty of strings, but always come back to Roto 66s
I play through a reissue V4B with SVT210AV at home and have an old USA-made 410HE (tweeter off) for rehearsals and small gigs. I rent an 810 for anything bigger, but that was only required once last year and not at all so far this year. No pedals except for fun at home - I actually ditched the board when I got these pickups because colouring them with anything felt wrong! DI through a Two Notes CAB-M between the amp and speaker, running an Ampeg 810 emulation. Enjoy!

This is great news. I haven't painted yet (and the wait), to get mine installed in the '66 NR. I'm thrilled you are pleased. Not that I expected it from Matt's pickups, but you didn't use any of the typical additives (metallic, boomy, etc.) in your description, so that's fantastic news. Thanks for the review Ray. Makes me even more desirous to get the NR finished.Just got this posted:
Ebony bird has new pickups.
This is a mini review of Nine One Six Thunderbird pickups
T Bird Bass Pickups – Nine One Six Pickups

I own a 2019 Epiphone Vintage Pro Thunderbird. A recreation of a vintage 60’s Tbird, equipped with Epiphone 760 ProBuckers, highly regarded as being close to the 60’s Tbird Gibson pickups from the era, although they are a little bass shy according to some.
I upgraded the pots and cap in mine before I got the 916 pickups.
This is how @Matt Kustom describes his product.

Excellent. Mine has two less EQ sliders, and it's still taken me a while to figure out what each bass "wanted." But almost flat made my '21 NR and '06 Reverse immediately sound better than with the Ampeg. That was easy. I like simple and can get a bit "into" adjusting and trying various settings to see what works best and if a good setting can be improved upon. With some things I can be a little OCD, and that's one of them.I really like a lot, it's much like my Trace Elliott, it sounds very similar. I have it set up in my upstairs practice room with an SWR 4x10 and have been slowly adjusting controls, it wants to be bassy, which sounds good in the small room but not so much when you're playing live. Even small tweaks have a big effect on the tone so I've just been taking my time and find it's good to work with it for maybe 30-45 minutes and then stop as my ear gets less discerning.
I'm trying to just use one or two basses to make the initial set up, varying the input gain between different basses impacts the tone a lot, my Lull wants to red line the VU while my '60s Epis don't push it as far. I'll get to use it with the band on Sunday evening and expect to make a bit of progress as I'll have it up a little louder and the basement is a bigger space.
TLDR; So far, very good!

I have a strat just like that. Well, not just like that. I'm left handed, but can't play that way. Bass I can do really simple things with some time, no way on guitar.7ender 7riday in the 7unzone...
