I have a strat just like that. Well, not just like that. I'm left handed, but can't play that way. Bass I can do really simple things with some time, no way on guitar.

I actually tried to learn bass RH, having received an Epi TB IV as my 20-year service award from my company.

Could not do. Orders of magnitude worse than my LH attempts on guitar. Sadly sold it.

Answering my question!

all I did was add (cheesy gold ones is all I had, chrome ones on order) strap locks...didn't even clean or restring the thing....tuned and intonated ok........YOU'RE UP!....
