Meanwhile, we had a little one yesterday 20 miles south of us where the New Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is under construction.
We had a warm, sunny day. After all the flooding, I haven't heard a single complaint about it being in the 90s. Except for me. I'm complaining because it's so nice out after a week of rain but I can't ride today.
 
Here is how I dealt with the tiltomatic on my 68 EBO. Changing strings is no problem and I haven’t needed to adjust the height:

There is some scrap mahogany in my project woodpile that would probably work to make a shim like that. It is Honduras that I have had for more than 35 years, so it should also work well to transfer vibrations.
