Yes. As you are aware we had small quantities of AMC’s assembled here in RHD (as Ramblers) up until circa 78.

We have a racing series Touring Car Masters that allows racing of these old cars. So you may get a Mustang, a Camaro, a Monaro, a Torana, a Falcon sprint, a Falcon GTHO or even a Javelin racing around in Thunderous fun.

Champion racing driver “Gentleman” Jim Richards (a Kiwi that has been racing here since about 1974 or so) decided he’d try something different (he has raced all sorts) and chose a Javelin. But a LHD one, I think there are another couple now inspired by Richard’s.

The one in your pic is driven by Peter Schulte.

My rehearsal space rig - mid '90s Mesa Basis M-2000 (650w tube/FET) & ported Carvin 18" cab. Amp output never above 9:00 with plenty of headroom left on my bass volume. Both bands don't play loud - I like 15's & 18's for the full, fat tone that they produce. Not sure what brand speaker Carvin uses, but it sounds good.

Basically two amps in one -

Precursor to the M6 Carbine. You set gain where I do. If I play it with the master at 9:00, I get screamed at.

Carvin started producing their own speakers made in the San Diego factory sometime in the eighties. They used other brands before that. It was a sad day when Carvin closed.

Not TBird related, but...

No comment! ;)

But am glad you enjoy them. I never thought I would say these words, but Chuck can be a bad influence! :D

One of these days you’ll meet him, and it’ll become apparent that he’s a really nice and very genuine person, and at that point you’ll probably be enjoying your first oyster.

I still say someone sanded it before with with a floor sander edger...while drunk. Took more than I thought get the body corrected even for paint. Lots of low places for no reason. Mot to mention the scratches.... I don't know how you would try to sand it so unevenly. People do less and go to jail.

Kind of looked good that color were it not for the horrible sanding and globby "finish." I did fix a number of body problems and a few gouges that were a bit too much.

And for the color...

I'm going to do one more coat of color. When finished it should look like the truck. It's a beautiful deep fine metallic Ruby Red. The gold hardware and parchment pic guard should look fantastic on it.

Something like this. I kept walking by the truck and thinking how great that would look. Already love the color and know what it looks like so finally went that direction.
