How long are you going to wait?
At least a week. I kept going back and forth and settled on instant death in a can (SprayMax 2k*) for a more clear and deeper finish so the fine metallic would really have maximum depth, and shorten my wait time by at least a couple weeks. It's not as forgiving going on but makes for a fantastic finish, stays clear and gives better protection. I will check this weekend. About 3-4 days could work but I put a number of light coats on to build it up and want to make sure it's well cured. Not vintage technique I know, but neither are any of the parts I'm using on it so it was another trade off.

*And the appropriate 3M respirator, or I wouldn't be typing.

Kind of you, but I wish I could play bass half as good as you, well 1/3 would be a big improvment. And invent death ray antenna hidden in the woods. You do so many things well, there's no reason why you couldn't. You just need to try sometime. Sell me that old white NR and buy yourself a proper project to work on and give it a try. In some ways it seems to take as much patience as knowledge. But some just have no desire and I get it. Plenty of things I have zero interest in getting into--like pulling and rebuilding and engine.
