In my opinion:Have a question for those of you who refinish or put new finishes on instruments-
Do you think this room could safely be adapted as a paint booth?
Measurements are roughly 7..5 feet long by 5.5 feet wide by 8 feet tall-
They is no active ventilation or windows. Could I safely spray with a P100 respirator in the time that it would take to lay down a single coat?

1. The room is too small for me personally given no ventilation. Lot's not "No's" on that room. I've never been in a paint booth that small. You will be getting mist all over you, if nothing else.
2. Wrong filter. That's particulate only not gasses and vapors, which you definitely want.
I would get something like this: Link Removed
3M P100 Respirator Cartridge/Filter 60923, 1 Pair, Helps Protect Against Organic Vapors, Acid Gases, and Particulates - Walmart.com
Mask like this works very well. I'm happy with mine. I like the quick release. I smell nothing with mine. If you do smell something it's not working or you have the wrong filter and possibly mask.
3M Rugged Comfort Half Mask 6500 w/ Quick Latch System - Walmart.com
Irv is more up on this than I am, so go by what he says.
