Couldn't resist - was in the planning stage to build a Jazz bass out of Warmth parts when I found this- mind you I wanted something in a whiter white than the Olympic and Vintage whites offered by Warmoth- a little over a couple hundred bucks more than the Warmoth or less, depending on my pickup selection, but it will come with one of those SKB molded TSA cases.

A 2023 Fender Mod Shop Jazz Bass in like new condition-

Geoff, going to be around Sydney April 5-9, 2027? Advanced notice
I highly recommend meeting Geoff. He is a great guy to hang with. I truly enjoyed spending time with him.
Buy it. Hold it. Flip it in a few years. Double to triple your money. I wonder if the seller has a clue.
My wife will not allow that to happen. I have a TERRIBLE track record of not selling basses I said I would to cover more bass purchases. Fool her once, shame on her. Fool her 27 times, shame on me

Give me her number. I’ll explain to her how this is not a bass purchase. It is a retirement investment. And think how much it’ll be worth when you’re, well, you know….

My Bird is a 2018 Thursday Thunderbird too. It's almost identical to yours, just backwards.

New Club: Thursday Bass Owners!

And thank you for sharing your card, which lets me confirm I was reading the date right (m/d/yyyy) based on serial number.

Also cool to note you and I had the same inspector!

Sadly my bench photo was not included... nor my allen wrenches.

But I did get the silica gel pack... ;)

Small price to pay; still utterly jazzed over my luck.

This turned up on the Phx Craigslist page today. GREAT price if legit, but I am not in the market.

Holy cow. Sell something and be in the market! If I were not involved with restoring the '66 NR I would likely talk to the guy and ask if you would pick it up if he won't consider shipping.

A seller on eBay who specializes in EMG pickups from whom I purchased a few sets of active models for my budget Steinberger XT's- actually snagged a set of HB-CS in brushed gold because he has entrè with EMG. Great guy!!

So, remove bad #2 from the list... guard crack repaired.

1000013158.jpg

And add that finish under the guard looks exactly like exposed finish with regard to fine polishing scratches, so they are 'factory'...

1000013156.jpg

But add sad point #7; somebody must have sneezed putting this guard screw in at a 20 degree cant....

...which will bug me, so eventually I will have to plug and redrill... but not now.

Diving into the restring before I lose my nerve.

I would return it. It's clearly a wreck. :smug:

Not sure on the date vs the serial number on mine.

No Allen keys, but mine was 2nd hand.

Sounds good. Feel free to contact me via direct message. As we approach the date we can exchange phone or WhatsApp details.
Perhaps we can find a beer while you are here. 😊

Just one warning though. I am going to Adelaide, and the SA wine areas, “in April” with a couple of mates, and a Kiwi mate that is flying over. The dates aren’t locked in yet so I will endeavour to push it to the end of April… but I’m one vote in 4. It shouldn’t be a problem but can’t guarantee it just yet.

I look forward to meeting you. Hit me up with any questions on our fair city.

My grandfather thought the ship he was on (his way to Sicily from BA in the late 40's) was gonna sink in a bad storm so he promised the lord he would make an offering to the church which he did by way of a statue of the "Virgen de Lujan" (not Guadalupe) in the photos which he personally delivered to his parish, a Cappuccin Convent in his home town of Caltagirone.

My uncle Ciccino mom's brother, can be seen in the photo next to the offering (decades later) once there.

After many years of the family looking for it, we found it with uncle Gaetano, (in photo) at that same convent yesterday ....
