Thunderbird Club

Too bad. I suppose if they put out word they were disposing of things they were worried too many people would have shown up and fought over it. Or they just didn’t care.

So they get his name and “IP?” What other than pre-amp and pickup design would there be? Sounds like the brand will just go away like most of the other Fender acquisitions over the years
Not your area of expertise, but do you think this would prevent anyone from resurrecting "G&L" in the future? (Which without any Leo connection or not would seem rather pointless.) It will be interesting to see if Fender does anything with what they bought or just files it a way so no one else has any such rights.

I would expect they now own the rights to the G&L name. I hope no one tries to resurrect the fugly headstock. Not sure if that “design” is protected. Or the bridge which I’ve heard some don’t care for. Bottom line is there is one less quality FSO manufacturer to compete.

Personally, I think it is sad that there is one less SoCal guitar factory. I hope Rickenbacker isn’t next.

If I understand your post correctly, mine wasn't meant like that....more like:: seems like everyone and their mother owned this island at some point.... it's a known fact Palermo has been the most occupied city in euro history.....

On my own I wouldn't have known that about Palermo, however, George C. Scott mentions it in "Patton" which happens to be one of my all-time favorite movies. I firmly believe the man was put on this earth to play that role, he was brilliant.

What about MusicMan- wasn’t that a company that Leo helped start and later ran?

The demand for Rics is high.
I think they’re safe for now.
