The Class D is still a strange device to me. I have the TT-800 but still handle it like something that may break if I'm not careful.
Gigging has slowed down, but hopefully will pick up again and maybe I'll get comfortable with it finally. If not, that GK might be a thing. I like those sound clips.
I like the little Carvin well enough, but it's not the best sounding amp on the planet. It will do, but that's pretty much it. These days, about half my sound goes through the PA to avoid feedback with the upright, anyway.

Not aware of any Ashdown amp without at least one preamp tube usually implemented as a (in parallel) blend option to the SS low level (preamp) signal stage....some (like JIO's 550 Spyder) feature an all (and only) tube preamp....the tube stage (transistor that engages the stage when the "Tube" button is pressed is fried) is non functional on mine.....not losing much sleep...
MAG series and Electric Blue heads were all SS I believe, but could be wrong about that. The one tube in my Ashdown can get pretty damn gritty, at least thats what my neighbors tell me. :roflmao: :roflmao:

And 25lbs first that 1001 isn't a bother.
Lol, I really shouldn't be learning about new gear.
Kinda what I think, too. A 25lb head like that would be pretty nice, especially if it could be paired with a vertical 212 cabinet or something similar, and that doesn't weigh much.

what's the story on your 360(1?) did you buy new? why that choice, influenced by a user? ever in need of/or serviced?
I got it well used about 20 years ago. It has needed no attention. The 320 head I had needed a switch repair, which was easy to do. ACC equipment is about as reliable as it gets. The 126 combo I got used in 1981 has been going strong since then, with two repairs, one under warranty and one burned out resistor recently. I got the Grexa reissue new in 2014 or so. I do not know how reliable it will ultimately be.

That describes to a T my purchasing an SVT/810 rig. Shoulda saved the $$$ and used my Kasino. :banghead:
That Kasino sounds good. It's a little dark, got a dash of dirt around the edges, and has a nice easy kind of punch to it. I imagine a Gibson Grabber going through that.

I have way more creative and physical energy at 12 noon on a Saturday or Sunday than at 7pm after working all day.

…and no interest in sports…
My creative energy pretty much at a sorry level any time of the day. I didn't mind practicing at night when young. But as I get older I'm less of a fan. I don't mind early morning. But noonish would be great for the reasons you mentioned. I never watch sports live. Always record to skip the commercials.
