Yes, good point.MAG series and Electric Blue heads were all SS I believe, but could be wrong about that. The one tube in my Ashdown can get pretty damn gritty, at least thats what my neighbors tell me.![]()

Do they ever bother you when you're practicing your bagpipes at 0200?MAG series and Electric Blue heads were all SS I believe, but could be wrong about that. The one tube in my Ashdown can get pretty damn gritty, at least thats what my neighbors tell me.![]()

My '67 NR sounded great through it. The onliest recordings I have of the Kasino, I was playing my Epi EB-3L.That Kasino sounds good. It's a little dark, got a dash of dirt around the edges, and has a nice easy kind of punch to it. I imagine a Gibson Grabber going through that.
I've tried that(recording sports), but then somebody'll tell me the result b4 I see the game.My creative energy pretty much at a sorry level any time of the day. I didn't mind practicing at night when young. But as I get older I'm less of a fan. I don't mind early morning. But noonish would be great for the reasons you mentioned. I never watch sports live. Always record to skip the commercials.

Is that the vid of a gig you played with it? You posted one here once, about 1,200 posts or so back...My '67 NR sounded great through it. The onliest recordings I have of the Kasino, I was playing my Epi EB-3L.
Nice. The small victories are the ones that bring you forward, that make the most difference. Finally made it thru "Hound Dog" in time, on tempo, and with no weak notes, on a 34 "scale, 1st though 7th frets, first time and not even any blood or skin lost.
Probably doesn't seem like much to you pros, but it's been a long time coming that I didn't short-fret even one of the V chord high D's on the G string, or bungle the walkout.
Could do it passible well on a short-scale for a while, but tonight was the first time I got it fully together on a full-scale.

Is a birthday a good reason to buy a bass? What a stupid question even for my standards...
There's a nice looking Greco T-Bird from 1980 for sale here in Finland. Can't really afford it but one can only dream.
But my album is out now on streaming services so check it out if you want to hear some calm ambient soundscapes or some heavy-handed fretless weirdness or, like in this case, both:
There's still one for sale in my neighborhood. But honestly it's bigger than I want to roll in to most- like 90%- of the gigs I play. Sometimes I long, just a little bit, for 40 years ago, when we all did that big amp thing. My '67 NR sounded great through it. The onliest recordings I have of the Kasino, I was playing my Epi EB-3L.
Yeah, that's a drawback. Had friends that would text during or afterwards and I would tell them I haven't started yet or am not finished. They all know not to talk about outcomes and just ask if I'm watching now. You just need to train your friends.I've tried that(recording sports), but then somebody'll tell me the result b4 I see the game.![]()

I had the 200 head and 215 cab when I was a kid. It was really loud. There's still one for sale in my neighborhood. But honestly it's bigger than I want to roll in to most- like 90%- of the gigs I play. Sometimes I long, just a little bit, for 40 years ago, when we all did that big amp thing.
The tuck and roll? But that's the Kustom... I had a black tuck and roll 215 when I was in Miami in the early 90s. Pushed it with a Carvin ProBass 150. Loud and gnarly.I had the 200 head and 215 cab when I was a kid. It was really loud.
