We don't have a lot of bitey things here in Washington State - I like it that way.
It was a beautiful 75 degrees here yesterday, so nice to sit out in the back yard with Frank and chill while we had a small cocktail - did some plane spotting too.

TPF I think the shark was killed by something else, a larger shark most likely, and washed up on shore. The dingo is probably just getting a free lunch. Oh, and I think those snakes are actually copulating, not fighting.

Does that make it better?

PS: I think that is Fraser Island, a large sand island off the coast of Queensland. Which does have a problem with packs of aggressive dingos, and is surrounded by a shark superhighway.
The dingos have been known to attack people now.
But it is a holiday destination for campers and 4wdrivers.
With respect to the snakes? No. No. No!!! In fact it's worse. Means there will be more of son's of satan roaming around.

For those of you who are Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music fans-

When you get a chance, put on some headphones or good quality earbuds and check this 5.1 mix of Bryan Ferry’s “Don’t Stop the Dance”. The spatial separation really brings out cool nuances I had not noticed in the original recording.

Always love me some Roxy.

Ha. Good to know. Possible relative who was maybe a convicted felon who got an island named for him in Oz with aggressive dingos. I don’t think I’ll ask you to take me there when I come for a visit.

After I tweaked the truss rod and the action yesterday I'm liking the heck out of it. Nice player, feels solid and tight. It's 11+ lbs, but that's not bad with a good strap.
Sounds great and very punchy. Highs are almost too snappy (edit: "sizzly").
:woot:

Great bass-line and yes, it sounds really fresh. I have a friend who is a huge Roxy Music fan but she cuts her love when Brian Ferry went solo. I have done similar 'drop-offs' with bands, (early vs later) but I couldn't do that with Brian Ferry.

MF is showing the epi Inverness green is being discontinued and it’s been them on sale for $599

Dayum... But green's not really my color.

Correction. You have at least a few friends two friends who are Roxy Music fans.

Named after a ships captain and his wife, Eliza Fraser. They were shipwrecked there. The Capt died before rescue but Eliza survived. Decades ago they had a Eliza Fraser mini series on TV. Before that, with our usual poetic flourish, it was known as Great Sandy Island… 🤦‍♂️
Not to be confused with the Great Sandy Desert.

This will be sort of shocking to many of you, but I think I'm satisfied with my Classic Pro Epi Thunderbird.

Now, if I run into one that's sleeker, lighter, is little more trad looking than mine with the three-point bridge (claw tailpiece and separate bridge) and still delivers the belly-backed punch/crunch up top that my Classic delivers, I could be enticed and won. But, I can lean my narrow, light-on-girth frame into this ergos-friendly plank and dig up dirt and gold out of it. With it I can hold up the blues and power the rock song, play a gnarly, melody-laced solo (as I'm able 🥳🤪) and beat a complex time figure into submission. It's got a voice that's fun to lay a swirly line on the table with, and makes the savage beast want to sit and engage with polite company.
So if it could do all that, I'd want another I suppose. But otherwise, I'm happy to walk with what I've got...

I know I'm now asking for it, there's a Greco looming nearby, I know it.
*Sigh*...

What is the neck profile like on those Epi 64s? I’m generally not a fan of 1.5” nuts, but if it’s chunky like a 70’s jazz, I can live with it

The Epi '64 is a little bigger than the previous Vintage Pro (Indonesia built) ones, both are a little bigger than any Gibson Reverse, nowhere near as beefy as the 2021 Gibson Non Reverse. Are they playable? Yes.

Ember Red with a black painted headstock.
