Thunderbird Club

Just checked. Sub $400
Tributes have the same MFD pu's and bridge but low-end electronics. (pots with white plastic posts) There's probably other things like body wood differences and possibly fretwork.

Three reasons I won't be getting it:
Not a color I like*
Not a 1.5" nut
Mufunzalo
*I know-Krylon
I like the color. But it is a NR. So, not a bass for me. More for everyone else who likes NRs. I am a heretic and just flat don't like NRs. It's a shallow thing.

For what it's worth, I worked in Norway when I was 21. I had a lot of fun with a woman named Ilsa, spelled the German way for some reason. I'm pretty sure she would not have had an inkling about anything runic. I was pretty safe with her, at least in that regard. She didn't have ice blonde hair or piercing blue eyes, either, although I met a girl in a bar who did. That kind of coloration was pretty unusual, even there. There's a little bit of completely irrelevant information for use or discard. Probably discard.
A kinder, gentler, and safer time. I cannot even imagine what hooking up with a girl in a bar in Europe would be like today.

AKA; we're all bozo's on this bus.
Hey, watch the Bozo comments. :roflmao:

quick little gig report and moral of the story: take TWO of everything!...the pre on the 2015 Elite J started sounding like a big muff the other day and figuring the batts were low I went ahead and replaced them with fresh ones, figured I slap on some fresh RS66 while I was at it only to have it misbehave again on Sat eve where I ended up playing it in passive mode through the Ashdown rig and sounded superb.....then for yesterday's gig, figured I use the Little Markbass 800 into a Markbass 2x12 since the load in into Daisy's is such a PITA only to find the Markbass head making all kinds of weird oscillatory noises (always something up with that head since it was the showroom one at GC) so, not wanting to load in the Ashdown cabs, ended up using the Ashdown ABM into the MB 2x12 (4Ohm) and must say that was pleasantly surprised with how good the BaCH IV sounded though the combo.....one of the main reasons I don't use effects or wireless.... more stuff to go south, this said and in all fairness, it may be time for new amp gear, have gotten lotsa mileage from current setups.....

Solid point.

If you think anyone here is going to discourage you buying more gear....

If I had the $1200 asking price to spend, I'd put the 67NR in the shop for repairs.

(I don't)
I'll give you $1,300 for it so you can snag the new NR and $100 profit.

(I know you called me bad names when you read that!)

What's wrong with the 67 (if you want to share)? I know you mentioned the bridge pup before.

Back in the early-90's when I was finishing my undergraduate degree after a nearly five year hiatus in the Navy, there was a girl in one of my classes whom the others referred to as Olson. Don't remember if it was her first or last name, but she had milk white hair, blue eyes, and a very fair complexion.

When I was shopping for my first bass amp while living on a sailboat, I considered the small cube shape 400 w Markbass combo but ultimately went with a Genz-Benz 6.0T. But I had also considered an Eden head and cab. Do you have any experience with an Eden?

Ok. Good excuse as any. Try the new Mesa 800D. Get a couple Subway 115s, or a Subway 215, or a Subway 410 and you’ll be set for life.

I always bring this along:
OIP-3998345611.jpg

It weighs about 2 lbs, it's plenty loud, and sounds good. It also makes a good preamp for my Marshall 2031.

I do and like them very much, not aware of any Class D stuff from Eden but may have missed, thx for suggesting.
