Thunderbird Club

Wasn’t that when he was with The James Gang?
Yep. We played it in our junior high school band. My 50th high school reunion is coming up. The kid who played rhythm guitar in that band is one of the organizers. He didn’t play with us in high school. I don’t recall why exactly. But I’m trying to get him to maybe get together for a jam. We’ll see.

Exactly - small, light & portable. I bring this -

This reminded me of Focusrite’s analog/digital interfaces which are also red. I have a portable one with just one 1/4 instrument input but I have hi-low Z adapter I can use with a mic.

And then thoughts on the Focusrite triggered my memory of this video which some of you may find interesting-

quick little gig report and moral of the story: take TWO of everything!...the pre on the 2015 Elite J started sounding like a big muff the other day and figuring the batts were low I went ahead and replaced them with fresh ones, figured I slap on some fresh RS66 while I was at it only to have it misbehave again on Sat eve where I ended up playing it in passive mode through the Ashdown rig and sounded superb.....then for yesterday's gig, figured I use the Little Markbass 800 into a Markbass 2x12 since the load in into Daisy's is such a PITA only to find the Markbass head making all kinds of weird oscillatory noises (always something up with that head since it was the showroom one at GC) so, not wanting to load in the Ashdown cabs, ended up using the Ashdown ABM into the MB 2x12 (4Ohm) and must say that was pleasantly surprised with how good the BaCH IV sounded though the combo.....one of the main reasons I don't use effects or wireless.... more stuff to go south, this said and in all fairness, it may be time for new amp gear, have gotten lotsa mileage from current setups.....
I will say the ABM 300 IV is a little lighter than the 500 III. Also sounds different when flat. Less bass more mids and highs. So slightly different flavor. A new one would need no back up.

But these are nice. I had the 300w version. Great sounding. The chrome looks cool on the 500, but may be a pain live with light reflecting on it.

yours? hmmm....

Maybe someday. I like your tone with what you use.

Since I started back after all the years I took off, Mesa was what grabbed me. Especially with humbuckers.

This week is a bit weird using the little Rumble 25. Upside down smiley face with the overdrive button engaged sorta gets there. Sorta.
Thx M! talk about a Frankenrig..... BaCH IV with TBuckers (66N/B), DTB strings into the ABM and MB 2x12"....worked...

@GonePlaid It's a lawyer trick. Don't answer Mike. Repeat this song often.

So, don't ask me no questions
And I won't tell you no lies
So, don't ask me about my business
And I won't tell you goodbye

I said don't ask no stupid questions and I won't send you away
If you want to talk fishin, well I guess that'll be OK

Tributes have the same MFD pu's and bridge but low-end electronics. (pots with white plastic posts) There's probably other things like body wood differences and possibly fretwork.
The only issue I had with my Tribute Legacy was the pots. I eventually bought a non-Tribute set from G&L which solved the problem. Neck, frets, hardware were great, and the three tone burst!

Ashdown's Rootmaster was on my list of backup/lightweight amps to lug around instead of my 70's PV century tanks xD & while it'd still be cool to have one, i'm pretty content with my 90's GK 400RB mk II head (though i gotta replace its filter caps soon as a reset to its durability). in all cases, either head pumped through my 2 SWR goliath II 410s sound glorious! I don't think any modern cabinet comes close to the sound the swr's got.

So which do you prefer?

Pretty! My RH450 is rather plain in comparison. Looks aren’t everything but I like a cheerful environment-

But I did get some red knobs to replace the originals that cracked and fell off-
