Yessssssssss!!! The stars are about to align!!!Just talked to Sweetwater, ordered a White Bird.
But they weren't sure exactly when they're coming.
At first the rep. said, mid July, then he said end of summer.

I don't see a strap button on that.
Ew, no.Its entirely possible that one or more individuals see this and freak outbut it stands amongst some of the sadder creations Ive ever seen.
the least he could have done was thrown a tort pickguard on it.
Those are too thin for me. I need at least 1mm. I prefer 1.5mm.Well I've decided to learn to play with a pick. Been down the shop and picked up a couple to swap between to see what I like. Dunlop Tortex .88mm & 1.14mm.

That's pretty much how it still is...Back in the good ol' days, they used to have the picks in li'l cookie jars lined up like a candy counter. Ya just reached in & grabbed which ever ya wanted - 5 for a buck! Sometimes they'd even put 'em on sale. Buy 4, get one free!
Not around here. Now everything's in nice little over priced packages behind the counterI don't see a strap button on that.

I've been lookin' out for Orville, Burny & Greco in my daily web searches for all things Thunderbird. I can't believe how much the price has jumped on those things! I remember when ya could see them all over the web for $400 - $600 all day long. Now I'm seeing prices like $750 - $1,200! @Nocturnal had mentioned Hamer 'birds. I keep a-lookin', but I ain't a seein'! I think they're a unicorn bass! It's a rebuilt, refinished Orville, which is Gibson Japan. It's a very nice bass.

What's the story or background on Burnys?
I use Photobucket and noticed a shite tonne of pop up ads (almost to the point of making the site unusable) and then being directed to pay for a membership that would delete the ads.It just happened, I haven't checked here on this thread, but it was mentioned on another forum and sure enough I went to see if photos I'd posted were still up, they were not. In their place was some kind of Photobucket account nonsense, it's a money grab on their part.
Not going there. Last time I payed to be on a website ad free they added ads back in a year later.
Who's doing the singing?Hi All: Lost our rhythm guitarist and need some power trio alternative rock suggestion. Any recommendations? Please no GRN Day or Blink 182. THX
Oh my God man!!! In light of the fact that I may never be able to post from photobucket again here's what might be my final tribute to the magnificent Thunderbird in all its golden glory...
