Yep, it was part of learning to paint on cave walls. It was a tough lesson to complete, dodging cave bears by firelight and all, but the teacher was excellent.

As it turns out, I only need to put about three drops of red and a half drop of green in a few ounces of poly. The colors were coming out transparent on the test wood, but more opaque on the sealed bodies. No surprise there, but it's what I'm now learning the hard way. I don't have spray equipment, which also complicates things. The poly says you can brush it on using a foam brush. There may be a better way to do it, too. That's yet another experiment that will have to happen somehow. It's going to take a whole lot of thin coats to get the finish to look like I want it to look. That much is obvious already. Good thing this stuff doesn't stink. Sanding it makes me sneeze. Dust masks! What a concept!

Slacker is an understatement!, just real busy with the aunt and uncle, pets, you know, the usual Jersey thing. Haven't been on my game as of late. I feel out of sorts missing what's been going on, haven't even begun to catch up. What a slug I am.

My kitty def has me wrapped around her front paw ( I'm just gushy in love with that cat), there's toys, catnip, her own private stash of Tuna fish in single serving pouches, etc., etc. Not spoiled at all, that cat.

When it's bed time, the dog and 2 cats are all over me. They don't leave me an inch.
