PS - those of you capable of posting pictures, what free app are you using? Now that photobucket is toast I need to find another way to post. Tried Imgur and didn't find it very intuitive on an iPad. Any other posting services out there that work good?
I wanna come over & play with 'em!!! I love dogs! They seem to love me too. Dog's always tug on their leashes to come & see me. When I ask their owners if I can pet them... I frequently hear, "Oh, I don't know... he usually doesn't take to...", but before they finish the sentence, the dog's lickin' my hands & trying to pet me! I can't tell you the number of times I've heard, "Well that's strange! He never acts that way around new people!" & that kinda stuff. Dogs for whom it is out of character, will let me roll around on the ground & play with them or rub their tummies & stuff... leaving their owners stymied. I'm a believer that dog's are man's best friend, and dogs generally seem to believe that I am theirs... and they're probably right!

I simply upload the pic from my phone/laptop/ipad, pretty straight forward.

Honestly, the best way is to just upload straight from your computer, providing you have pics on it besides a third party provider.
That must be why animals tend to really like me!
I upload myself, right off my computer. I click & drag an image right off my desktop, into the reply field. It's about as easy as it gets, and requires no 3rd party.
There's a Slack group I'm in where we've run out of allowable storage space for photos. This may seem like a Rube Goldberg type method, but I have a Workflow (iOS app) recipe that will take a photo, compress if you like, send it to your Dropbox account, then copy the public link to the file to your clipboard for pasting. Happy to share it for anyone who would find it useful.
So just using the "upload a file" button, like this?
Edit: hey that works pretty good, thanks! Don't ask me why I hadn't even noticed that option in over 10 years of TB use.

Are you revealing some of your dungeon?
Obviously that works... but it's even easier to just click the "Post Reply" button, then click/drag the image to the response field (where you would normally type a verbal response), then decide whether you just wanna go with a thumbnail or post the pic full size, and click on "Post Reply", & yer all done!
