A lot of people look at me weird when I say I don't drink coffee. Tea once in a blue moon. Cappuccino or espresso at my grandmother's from time to time, and I'm talking maybe twice a year. But overall, not a big caffeine.

The brits do have Starbucks and Costa Coffee (well known brand of coffee shop in the U.K.), and loads of people go to these coffee shops and get lattes and stuff. But if you get tea from a place like this, or a fast food restaurant like McDonald's, they give you a cup of hot water with a tea bag in it, and you add the milk and sugar to your own preference.
If you go to an independent cafe, or go round to a friend/relatives house, especially in the north of England (most likely in the south as well), you will be asked how strong you want it, how many sugars (spoonfuls), and how much milk.
The classic British tea is fairly strong, about 2 sugars, and quite a small amount of milk.
It is time for a trip report as I have been back for a couple of days now. As I alluded to last month, I took my daughter to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
I was quite impressed. We spent the whole day there without either of us getting bored. The volume of artifacts is incredible and they do a good job of walking through the evolution of modern music. My only complaint is that through all 6 levels, I never saw a Thunderbird. But perhaps that stands to reason; they are far too valuable to be locked up in a museum. A Thunderbird needs to be played. A few things that I think the Thunderbird community will appreciate:
Are Bass Players the comedians of music? A collection of stolen hotel keys.
Jack Casady has been working on the semi-hollow body bass tone for a long time
Funk? Only a 7ender Jazz works right? Rick James disagrees
No way, a Ric for funk? Those are only good for prog right?
But what is the best bass for metal? Maybe this one
