Agreed... and well putIt's all good Mike. Art Blakey & JM, Rollins, Davis, the aforementioned Coltrane, Ellington, Mingus and Monk ... it's a pretty big rabbit hole and it is America's classical music.
The years you spent with that Jazz Bass in your hands, helped "season" you, I'm sureI hear ya man, you would so not like the neck on my Epi. But I love it, even with these big claws of mine.
I dunno about that. We do +1 pretty well. -1 is going to be a hard sell. The solution to the #62 situation is simple:
For all members #63 and above, just add a "(-1)" to the end of your current number...

Is this where I say 'a proper jazz bass is a doghouse'?

The only reason I think we shouldn't, is so it ain't such a pain in the arse to differentiate what is being spoken about in future postings. Is this where I say 'a proper jazz bass is a doghouse'?
Spoiler, no TBird is shown because it was hanging on my shoulders.
For any who gives a $#!+
I finally got the speaker back, cheaper than I was expecting, and more earthmoving than expected. And yes I had it on full "DEFCON 465" power.

Before I get lashed for the blanket on the ground, my dog knocked it down just before the picture

No more or less about it. JAE coined the word(s) FenderBird capital F, capital B. And it DID NOT use a Thunderbird body of any type. Custom made and more ergonomic than a Gisbon...but nobody really gives a crap but a few old farts.Maybe #62 should be assigned to Ox himself. He played Thunderbirds and more or less invented the Fenderbird. There's got to be some significance of 62 we can assign to him or the Who. Maybe the year they were formed or something. I'm not enough of a historian to know that kind of thing.
Is that your pup all curled up there in the blanket?

Notice the NR type pickguard on a redesigned Reverse style body.
