I may have come up with a righteous and just solution to the #62 conundrum.

We all know the T-bird was first issued in '63... but do any of you hardcore Gibsonites happen to know if Mr. Dietrich spent any time at all working on the T-bird/F-bird designs in 1962? (get where I'm goin' with that?)

I finally got the speaker back, cheaper than I was expecting, and more earthmoving than expected. And yes I had it on full "DEFCON 465" power.

Maybe #62 should be assigned to Ox himself. He played Thunderbirds and more or less invented the Fenderbird. There's got to be some significance of 62 we can assign to him or the Who. Maybe the year they were formed or something. I'm not enough of a historian to know that kind of thing.

No more or less about it. JAE coined the word(s) FenderBird capital F, capital B. And it DID NOT use a Thunderbird body of any type. Custom made and more ergonomic than a Gisbon...but nobody really gives a crap but a few old farts.

Notice the NR type pickguard on a redesigned Reverse style body.

I'm waiting to hear back from my guy at Sam Ash. I'm back on the back up plan. Not getting anywhere with Sweetwater. So just in case. I've got someone on the lookout at SA. But still, no one really seems to have a clue about when they will actually ship.
