Thunderbird Club

There could only be one explanation, it must be Freakout Friday.

Question for those of you (currently) in more civilised parts.

Any stirrings on the Vintage Pro front?

Here's a quote from my guy at Sweetwater for all you waiting on Thunderbirds, this was as of 9/12.

"Hey Mark,

Just a quick heads up. Epiphone hasn't given us a tracking number for the Thunderbirds and the ETA hasn't been updated on their end, so I'm guessing the bass will either be here this week or is a week-week and a half out. I'll keep you updated if I hear anything else.
Best,

I'm waiting to hear back from my guy at Sam Ash. I'm back on the back up plan. Not getting anywhere with Sweetwater. So just in case. I've got someone on the lookout at SA. But still, no one really seems to have a clue about when they will actually ship.

Technically it's still 'mid' September I s'pose.

...and Jeff, don't think I'm going to let that 'holidays in the sun' crack slide.

If you lived in the bush around these parts, you wouldn't need mesh to keep the blood-sucking flying beasties out, chicken wire would be more than enough.

That's the closest thing to encouraging news that I've heard since this hoopla began!

I know Kat. Just my dry, New York non-sense of humor.

That actually comes as somewhat of a surprise, Doc. Last I knew, the Canadian National Register listed the mosquito as your official bird!

Seems I also heard something a while back about them replacing your flag's maple leaf with a mosquito;)

Now those sound like fightin words. But I know that's not your style.

I like Never Mind the Bollocks ... but for me PiL were an order of magnitude superior to the Pistols.

I dunno. For pure, unadulterated punk awful attitude, you can't beat the double version of Great Rock n Roll Swindle. Sid Vicious attempting to sing Johnny B. Goode and then Roadrunner, and failing at both, is perfect in it's absolute lack of any redeeming qualities. It's even better at high sound pressure levels. If you can listen to that and then not go out and bite tires off moving trucks, there's something wrong with you.
