Thunderbird Club

Perhaps you all could chip in a little and I could have this tattoo'd as a tramp stamp.

On your forehead. Actually saw a dude yesterday at the Stones concert, who had some indian symbol in the Manson spot.

btw to calm everyone, could we just call it:

#62 - vacant

until we find something or someone worthy.

btw #2. Ronnie used a Firebird for "It's only Rock 'n' Roll..". I know why he's my fav.

#62 needs to be vacant
  1. so that each time the list comes out, someone can point out that there is no #62, and
  2. because 62 is unlucky, no one should suffer with being #62.

yes, it's now a special number.., cosmic even

That's amazing! I can't believe I've never heard off one before! If they had been around back in the day, I bet John Paul Jones would've used it on Kashmir.;)

Does it work similarly to an eBow?
Similar effect, but it's a mechanical device that works like the wheel on a hurdy-gurdy to vibrate the strings, rather than using electro-magnetism like an eBow.

The wide strap makes all the difference.
My Epi has a great balance to begin with, and with the wide strap, just makes it all that much better.

What strap is that and how much did it run you?

Incredibly cool! I'd love to play around with one!

In the video you posted, the sound that came out of that Spector, was that of a very natural sounding bowed instrument (to my ears anyway). Is that accomplished with nothing more than plug & play (with the Gizmo obviously), or do you think he had a bunch of fx all over it to accomplish that?

First gig in twenty years. Owner ripped us off and the AC didn't work. Still was great playing

I think he plays it both with effects and clean.

When I tested it clean at my tech's place, it sounded pretty similar to a bowed instrument. The eBow, on the other hand, takes a little overdrive to get there.

I'll be running through overdrive all the time, though, because that's the nature of my amp.
