Thats what I thought. Maybe I can still do it. Even if they replace it, now I'm scared it might be a issue on others too.
I went through 3 of the same ibanez basses and all of them popped during shipping. Finally took the last one and got it fixed (from alto music in nyc...they refunded $150 towards the repair. Great CS imo)

That is the issue with Thunderbird cases. They are always the largest cases in my collection. Nice that you didn't have to buy another one.

Alright, so here's the deal. I see the Classic Pro on Craigslist for $340.

I hit him with $275, he comes back with $330, no lower. I tell him I have $275 when he wants it. He doesn't respond.

Two, three days go by and I check the listing and he's down to $300!

I email him that I can do $300 and where'd he want to meet. No response. Two days go by.

This morning I created a new email address and asked him if the bass was still available. He enthusiastically replies, Yes!

I arrange to meet him and just like that I have an Arctic White Classic Pro IV!

Haha so he was snubbing you! Too funny. Congrats on the classic. Love those basses!

As for my dilemma, talked to the manager, sent him pics too. He's blown away by the damage and said they'll do what they can to replace it. He's gonna talk to his general manager and call me back.

As a side note, even with a popped fretboard she still sounds really sweet :(

Ok so here's the final update:

General manager called me, and said they had another new '14 at a different store (chicago), and i could exchange it there, for my trouble he gave me a 20% off coupon too :) so all is well again, I already picked up number 2 and she's safely home. GC really did provide some great CS here. Credit where it's due.
About to eat dinner, I'll post some pics later on.
Man I am so relieved.
Also I nailed an audition today, got the invite too. Guess I'm officially off the looking for band list.
Should be good times to come :bassist:
