A live action shot from last night at World of Beer!! Small elevated stage but a great place to play.

Just remember to never share used thunderbirds, and injection directly into the bloodstream is a sure fire way to ODAt least this "thunderbird" addiction is less likely to kill you in the long run![]()

That's encoraging to hear. I get the train of thought behind learning all kinds of music and I want to learn blues too, and as I develop people will want to hear some Elvis, I will never understand but oh well, so Elvis is getting played. Feels like watching paint dry though. LolI believe it was on the Metal Head to Head clip on Youtube with Billy Sheehan and Marco Mendoza where Billy makes note of learning all kinds of different music, not just the stuff that's the primary interest. One of the reasons Billy is so capable of playing in just about any style is that he learns a bazillion songs. Apparently he has several Ipods that are at full capacity, plus records and CDs galore. You may not really like it, but you'll learn from it, so figure it out and get it down...and you'll probably find something in it that you weren't expecting that gives you a whole new appreciation for why he wants you to learn that song to begin with.
i get to learn Can't Help Falling In Love.Know what you mean.
I am doing a stand in for another band in a few weeks and they play all sorts of stuff, including a few Elvis etc songs- Now or Never, All Shook Up, Dream Lover,- lot's of walking and first and fifths, but struggling to get into it.
Even have to brush up on Moondance and Brown Eyed Girl! Ha!
At least they do some CCR and some Daddy Cool!
You could put out the reverse in CL. Bass player wanting lessons from a better Bass Player. Just an idea. Throw it out, see if it sticks. That's good, Klondike. I'm not getting taught by a bass player and I'd like to be. I checked craigslist and there's not a bass player near me advertising for students.
Does Mark the model train hobbyist know the Tbird collection is this out of hand. They' re in at least 3 different rooms at my house - I don't know![]()
It's only out of hand if Mark cannot admit there is a problem. The rest of us however are all enablers. Sorry Mark we aren't much help in finding a cure.Does Mark the model train hobbyist know the Tbird collection is this out of hand.![]()

When your new one shows we will want some pictures good Sir!
Honestly it's almost a cataclysm right now...........
The band is on a short hiatus while I deal with an Impinged Tendon in my upper right shoulder (Physical therapy and exercise) so, while I'm playing at home upstairs there are a 3-4 basses a single 4x10 and a lot of trains that are finished on display and stored in boxes - like 100-200 pieces. Meanwhile, since it's a great time to enjoy building train models so the bulk of the collection ( another 300 pieces) is downstairs spread out in the band's rehearsal space, my modeling desk and spray booth are there too.........Along with a drum set, mixer, PA and a couple more 4x10s, there's crap everywhere! The basses are in two rooms upstairs and there's one in a custom case on the wall, I'm just an adult child![]()
Good luck with your therapy Mark. I'm looking at possible shoulder surgery, (I have 3 partially torn tendons in my right shoulder) If I do have the surgery, I'll probably have to put down my TBird and get back into 1/35 scale military modeling.
Here's the clip I referred to. This whole series is pretty interesting; its mostly guitarists, but there are a couple good bass ones and the drummers are interesting, too.
