Not made in China, but Indonesia. I have had some Squiers manufactured in Indonesia that were top notch, this is no exception.

Nah mate, my package is a 2nd hand TC Vortex flanger for an irresistible $USD45. It arrived in Sydney yesterday. I should see it sometime next week. My future VP will be bought new and local (once there is a Gibson/Epi importer again).

Ok ok, I just plugged it in to a little combo amp, all the zip and zing I would expect from a 60's Thunderbird. None of the clubbiness of the modern ceramic pickups. These are very livley, at first blush I like them!

Chinabuckers maybe but who knows? Epiphone built Jack Casadys LP bass pickup. I think they developed them on thier own.

I'm wanting them not to be Chinabuckers, not because I have anything against those pups, but because Epi hyped these 760s as vintage repros.

We all have in our mind the tone we expect from a Thunderbird. One of my favorites is Wishbone Ash "Ballad of the Beacon " from Live Dates. Check it out!
