This is a cool homage! Kinda tongue-in-cheek Swing Jazz take on Bohemian Rhapsody. Definitely worth the watch
You Dubble Bass Boys need to tune in! This chick tears it up!
@kat888 I must insist that you watch at least past 2:37... but if you can read the closing credits, I'm sure you'll be amused
Apparently! So someone’s outside of the door holding the headstock up?

Honest, clever, and pure. There's no "hiding" in that band! Rachel Price's voice fills my ears like warm honey. Were I a sailor, she would surely have my ship on the rocksLake Street Dive are my favorite current band. They are insanely good. They are even better live if you can get a chance to see them. They were all jazz kids at New England Conservatory. When they cut loose, the improvisational skills and pure virtuosity come ripping out. Plus, you can tell they are having a blast playing. The joy they project is real.
That body shape does remind me of something though - I can’t I unite put my finger on what it is...
Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Firebird pods before morphing into final shape.Could it be a Toilet Seat with a boner?
To be honest, I've never much cared for the aesthetics of most of Music Man's products, but I would love to see a bass version of this (although, I really dislike the 3+1 headstock which they would inevitably use).

Ebony Stain is not the same as Ebony. I'd say 50/50 on referring to 'Ebony' as 'black'.uh... duuuuuuh
Is that not the joke here... This "super rare" ebony 'bird?
I think most of us refer to it as "black" around here![]()
I've been playing a lot of Caro Emerald type music these days. I guess it's officially swing/jazz but I'd call it more Dutch jazz (has a strong um-pa-pa beat to it). Lots of fun, mindless, easy bouncy bass lines and retro catchy tunes. Here's one of their songs...Honest, clever, and pure. There's no "hiding" in that band! Between that music and the smooth lounge blues and Rockabilly jazz I'm focusing a lot on these days I'm starting to think I need to give the upright a whirl. Just so darn expensive to get into that instrument for what might be 50% or less of the music I play. I guess I could sell off my Fender stuff since I really don't use much of it anymore.![]()
Well... ok... I guess I stand corrected... or something. Looks like a black 'bird to me. Don't know why anyone would pay more for a black 'bird that looks like any other black 'bird... but it's not my place to tell someone else how to spend their money. Seems to fall in line with much of Gibson's decision making patterns. They only offer 1 neck profile... but they'll offer 2 different "kinds" of blackEbony Stain is not the same as Ebony. The Bird in question is actually Ebony Stain. There was no joke to it.
