Thunderbird Club

Just messed with my pickups. Raised the neck pu (not ‘danger high’) some and lowered the bridge a bit. Sounds pretty good! Neck pickup does just fine on its own, but I do The the bite you can get from bringing in the bridge to taste

Cool! I had no idea they were still around.

I guess technically they’re not, though they come out of retirement very occasionally and do a short run and a couple festivals. Tonight is the first show of an 8 city run. They’ve played maybe 20 shows in the past 15 years, tops. Always the original lineup. There was no acrimony when they split up and they’ve remained very close friends. Such a light schedule keeps it that way :)

Same reason my girlfriend and I have been together for 7 years, lol

I really like John Taylor a lot, all of "Rio" is fun to play, and "Save a Prayer" is a beautifully written song for the bass guitar.
Ya know, i grew up hearing that stuff but that was before I played and I never LISTENED to it, and only t cent started to h at the musicianship in it. Just said to my wife the other night that I need to go sit and listen to it and learn some of those fun bass parts.... IMO some of the Better 80s pop
