So the wife asked what other colors do Thunderbirds come in? I laughed, said not many and told her that was the big complaint lack of colors. She said if you find one cheap enough you can always get it painted...... So looks like number 3 might be coming quicker than I expected. :D

Thank you for the most detailed list!! I saw most of those but thinking more of an exotic color and would prefer to have the set neck. I know just an excuse to buy more stuff but as long as the wife is going along who am I to complain.

I'm not gonna buy all of those on the list, but there are a couple of contenders I would like to get for my collection... ;)

I was just up at my local music heaven (motor city guitar) they have a white epi classic so I thought I'd try it. Even though I'm lefty I can play decent up side down. Anyhow, its mint and $350 used. Very nice, I don't see why everyone who digs birds doesn't have one. I will say it is sounded quite muddy but the strings were pretty wasted. I was scouting rightys to flip for a reverse. They had a Nikki Sixx epi, very cool but sounded like crap compared to the Spector legend classic X holoflash. I played a few expensive rightys as well. A few fenders, Ric, and a lefty mtd fretless 5...not impressed. I did really love the tone of the Warwick rock bass corvette $$ 5 string it sounded the best out of all of them. I played through an svt cl and fridge.

Epi Classic and Marty Bell are your winning combo!

Andy, pointed me to the buyer from the FB TBird and Firebird Fan page. And then it went fast.

Thanks, Andy!

Happy to help. I consider it good Bird-karma and I'm bound to end up with another cool one for being so helpful :D

Glad the shipping got sorted out on that deal. Those prices you were quoted were outrageous!!

Hola from San Antonio, Texas! Glad to be part of the group. I'm the guy that bought the Nikki bass. I happened to have an original TB pickup and that's what's going into the bass when I get around to it. I collect TB's and have for years. I play in the band ULTRA. We formed in 1975 and we're still together. With the same band members no less! Here is a video of us at Sunken Garden Theater in 1976 or 1977. It was shot with an old 8mm camera with no sound. I'm playing my 1967 Non-Reverse and my black 1976.
