I had the same thought. But then, I wonder what "outs" are in the contract - would he stay for two hours of being called a no talent hack who wears clown make-up? I suspect not. Not that I would do that. And not that I would counsel others to do that. But I might plant the seed of a thought...

That would be the ultimate stupidity - Paying that amount of money, just to do that to him...

I don't know the guy, but have seen a couple of unfortunate comments from him over the years - However that doesn't give me the right to judge him.

I've seen a couple of videoes where he did come across as being fairly cool or sensitive - Like the YT video where he does a step-by-step tutorial of his make-up on his daughter...

Money aside, I'd never actually do that to anyone. Even if I don't like a lot of things he's said, he has changed music, and gave a lot of bands their shot at stardom. He has had some moments that are 'fairly cool or sensitive' but I'd rather not spend the 2 hours with him, and just enjoy the 'Vault' in the comfort of my own home, delivered by the local Canada Post mailman.

I agree that it would be folly to spend $2k to meet him, regardless of how you feel about him. I have much better things to do with $2k.

I will say this about him:
he is a better player than me,
I have seen videos of him being a real jerk,
I have seen videos of him being a great person,
he has greater personal wealth than me (but he has more than 10 years on me and I am closing that gap),
He seems like a smart enough guy, and
he might be interesting to speak with (or might be a complete douche, hard to tell).

One thing I heard him say recently is that he acts like he's full of himself to cope with the touring life, instead of using alcohol or drugs... dunno how true it is, but I'm sure he can be an interesting person to talk to, and seems like he has a world of knowledge and stories.

Still dislike him though. Some of the stuff he said, didn't have to be said in public.

I just started getting some more likes from that long-closed thread and had to find where it was coming from

That loser who didn’t get his box went on to create five or six different YouTube accounts and spam anyone who made a remark he didn’t like with negative comments and dislike votes. And I don’t mean just one- he used every account to leave negative stuff on every single video I have ever made along with all the other guys- that’s probably over a hundred videos; I still haven’t gotten around to deleting all of them.
Talk about mental issues…

Man, sorry to hear that. Interestingly, he seemed to only have ever made that one post here. It’s like leaving a bag of dog doo on fire on someone’s steps, ringing the doorbell, and running away.
