And I don’t mean just one- he used every account to leave negative stuff on every single video I have ever made along with all the other guys- that’s probably over a hundred videos; I still haven’t gotten around to deleting all of them.

I did the math - Simmons was 28 when that album was released (‘77). Peter Criss was 32. They were very sensitive (but conflicted) wordsmiths on that record, with such songs as: Simmons’ "Got Love for Sale" vs. Stanley’s “I Stole Your Love” and the title track, “Love Gun”. Punk couldn’t have arrived soon enough.

My apologies to loyal members of the KISS army.

Not a member of the KISS Army, but used to like the old records with the original line-up... :)

I am sorry for “band bashing”. I think that there were some good songs on their first album (e.g., “Black Diamond”). And they are obviously known for their showmanship. They are still packing arenas and making $$$. But to me, they just never seemed to evolve, other than performing with their makeup off . . . and then putting it back on again. But I don’t get paid thousands for personal appearances. My licensing and merchandising sales are nil. AND I didn’t marry Shannon Tweed. So, what do I know?

I had a pet goat when I was a teenager growing up in the Rocky mountains above Boulder Colorado. His name was Peppy and he was one of the best buds I ever had. Followed me everywhere I went, loved to go hiking and mountain climbing with me and had tons of happy go lucky personality. He even had his own toboggan and loved to go sledding.

Unfortunately a pack of wild dogs decided he'd make a nice meal one evening and tore into him. It was pretty horrific. I managed to shoot one of them during the attack but it didn't even phase the others, they just ate him too. The heartbreaking thing is knowing there's nothing you can do to save your pet, wild dogs aren't afraid of people and if I had stepped outside to intervene I would have been on the menu as well.

I don't know if it's any worse there today but back in the '70s there were a lot of stupid dog owners that decided a quick drive to the mountains was a great place to get rid of a dog you no longer wanted. We're not talking basset hounds and poodles; it was pit bulls, German Shepards, Rottweilers and Heinz 57 mutts. When out hiking, bears and wolves were nothing to be that alarmed about, they kept their distance, but if you saw a pack of dogs you looked for a sturdy tree to climb and hoped they weren't hungry.

Man, walk away for a few hours to play a gig and there’s a hundred posts about...Kiss?

One thing I like about being my age and from Socal is the the first bands I got to see was The Cramps, Dead Kennedy’s, Ramones, The Jam, Pere Ubu, Wall of Voodoo, Magazine, etc. that music still resonates with me. I also had a few prog buddies...I don’t Love most of it, but King Crimson and a few others...good stuff :)
