That’s good! I don’t really sweat it much except when I’m the front person. Even then I don’t sweat it too much![]()
I'm happy to be a horrible scum under circumstances that probably won't happen. In the mean time, we all play Thunderbirds, more or less. More work on the P- and Tele-Bird bodies coming up. I keep getting drips that have to be sanded out and redone. Carlo has no competition. But, they are getting to the point they are pretty good now. A few more days of messing around with them and I might start bolting things up.I'm familiar with Milgram. Zimbardo is confirmation.
Let's talk about something less depressing.
And so begins the conquest of Nashville, soon followed by the conquest of the planet, then universe! All because the Duke O'Rock got chosen by a 'Bird.Almost to soundcheck in Memphis. The singer of Eskimo Brothers asked what electric bass I brought this trip and I told him my Gretsch, same as usual. He said, “I want you to start bringing that Thunderbird from now on.” Twist my arm![]()
Hey I hadn’t noticed that before. Gives me a ready item to look for in ads now.Beautiful!. I love how the fretboard rides the bodies surface with flawless grace. The one thing that initialy freaked me out with my bolt on was how high above the surface the fretboard used to sit.
Beale St., in Memphis by daylight. By late night things get...interesting

What happened? Some cranky folks out in genpop this morning. Funny stuff
Wonder what it is about forums that makes folks fight in such a nasty way over nothing? Interesting that most of the ‘clubs’ don’t really suffer from that as bad.
Yeah, I tend to skip threads about stuff I'm not the least bit interested in. Most of the time.I suppose it’s really just social media in general. On a typical social media outlet, I avoid politics or faith. Those are conversations best had in person with folks.
There’s a bunch of threads I avoid on TB. Say there’s a thread about wiring onboard preamps or multiscale basses. I can’t offer anything there as I tend to love four string, passive basses. I’d just be a drag to those folks by saying I don’t like what they like, so I move on to what I do like. Or maybe I can offer positive advice on something elsewhere.
I don’t know what I’m trying to say other than there’s enough negativity in the world without me adding to it![]()
What happened?

Lemmy's quote to me "those muddy things?" When declaring my love of 60's Thunderbirds.Aw, fiddlesticks!
No you are right and Im with you Bro, but you are right to end it there......says Kat.You're right...
Were not really keeping that stored in the back of memory are we?......There's the legendary thread about whether a pedal should come with a box or not, too. Some people just don't have enough to think about.

I dunno, that whole thread was way to hilarious to be serious. My brother, who plays pedals more than bass these days, told me about it and how funny it was. He wasn't kidding. Were not really keeping that stored in the back of memory are we?....... Delete that file and replace it with flowers and puppy dogs.
