I may get a beat down for this but...

I never cares for the SG but THAT is nice! The horns are so much more suited as a Gothic Black. Red? Not so much for me. Don't even want to hear it. Just doesn't work for me but black??? Wow!

+1. I've never really liked SGs. they're not my thing: feels weird cause of it's thin body and all. Look wise it's nice, i could never play or own one for that matter no matter how good it looks. If im not going to play it, i won't get it. on the other hand, explorers, flying Vs and les pauls are my thing. I've always been a les paul guy, but i love the oddballness of Vs & explorers.

Same here...

I got the Epi Gothic Les Paul, '58 Explorer and '58 Flying V guitars, but don't really care for the Goth SG (although I might eventually get one for the sake of completion some time down the line).
I also love the Firebird and Wildkat guitar shapes...

Fender's on the other hand not so much - I think they are boring and uninspiring - Maybe except for the Blacktop P-Bass... ;)

At heart, i'm a fender guy. Be it genuine or copy. But i'll venture elsewhere to have a different flavor. So far, they both deliver what i'm after in tone and feel so it's already good. Although i like most squiers over fenders, and pretty much all epiphones over any gibson guitars. Then again, when it comes to guitars, i prefer the flat top bodies rather than the carved tops.

In non T-bird news, I've been looking for a BC rich warlock for my tribute as Nikki is well known for his shout era warlocks. I've looked EVERYWHERE since sept, nothing. Then, after rehearsal a few days ago I jump on my eBay saved search, there it is! $280 shipped. So, I should have it tomorrow. I'll be painting the neck to match the body, new black hardware (even the jack plate) new (old) dimarzio model Ps, flush mount straploks and white pinstriping for that fake binding look!

As a kid in Detroit I always thought that t birds and warlocks were the coolest. I went into a few stores and touched them, that was all I could do. That was '85,'86. So here were are, '15 I'll have a warlock and 3 r birds at my next show in April playing my idol's songs! Oah, and my wife and daughter are back up singers. Good timez

Kind of a coincidence that I am thinking about checking out an old Warlock too. I have wanted one forever but just never bought one. They are just bad ass looking!!

I have a crush for the Mockingbird, but never got around to getting one - one day maybe...

Do you have a ballpark price on the BadBird II, Scott? That might help to figure the demand.
Not yet Carlo. All depends on the quantity I order and depends on how much capitol I have. I am hoping I can bring it in for less than the $255.00 I charge for the original Badbird.

I came across a Mockingbird bolt on for $249 a couple weekends ago and was sorely tempted. The reason I didn't was that it needed a little work that I didn't really feel like doing (fret sprout, mostly) and it was all black. Our guitarist has a quilt top red MB that's his main guitar, so plain black was just not gonna cut it in comparison. A quilt top blue would work, though, and I'd be all over a TBird in that finish. It'd be worth it for all the purists going out of their mind thinking "what the hell is THAT?"

So my Gibson Slingshot strap finally arrived last night after being delayed for almost a week and just look at the box!! #1 - I can't believe they would put a guitar strap in a box that big. #2 - How the hell did that thing make it?? The strap is really cool and completely stops any neck dive, but it's weird not using the strap I've had for over 20 yrs.
