My thing is, i've got my bass chromed out. Trying to find something that doesn't clash with that is a little challenging, already found several things i like, but may be a bit to flashy.

Hmmm... you could have him do something with black and silver (in a similar style to the pic you posted) and maybe the red numbers. Just an idea.

Will, the stock tophat knobs already have silver, wanna get away from anything silver on them. But your thought is much appreciated.
The P-Bird currently has black top hats on it. I'm thinking chrome top hats would look pretty good. It's red, no raised center panel, black precision pickup covers. Chrome Babicz, chrome cloverleafs. Black painted headstock. So, with a chrome 'Bird and chrome top hats, I don't think it would be too much. I'm leaning away from putting pickup and bridge covers on it, not because I don't like them, but because the shape doesn't look quite right to me.

I'm just trying to do something a little different, without it looking way off base. (pun intended).
That's why i'm kinda diggin the ones i posted on the previous page.

Awfully decent of you Sir! Unfortunately... I don't really have anything beyond a pocket knife or jig saw for cutting, and I'm not convinced I would be satisfied with my own work:)

I can assure you that if you can wield an Xacto(sp?) knife you can get through a .060 thk. piece of rigid vinyl. The bevel can be sanded and I’ll send you enough to screw up once or twice if you change your mind. ;)

This option might be a safer way to go.

Ok, this started sounding way too familiar to me so I went back and checked and I was wrong. The bronze logo on my VS CP did not come from NY, it came from MI. From a guy who said he was looking for a new supplier and was out of white & black (which is why I ordered the white from Spain!)

Hi Larry! ;)
