So, are the stripes painted or vinyl? And (if vinyl) did you have to cut the stripes to size yourself, or did you find them as they are?

Thanks! I used vinyl graphics ordered through Amazon. Three inches wide. Six feet long. Think it was $20. Took me two shots at it. Hardest part was working t the neck joint. The vinyl,stretches easily, kinda like gum, so as it stretches the dimensions would get thrown off. My first attempt and the two strips on each side of the neck ended up looking "bent". Even now they look odd, but gave in to the law of diminishing returns. Trick I learned making gaskets was to lay the strip over the inserts for the bridge and by lightly tapping the decal against the hard edges of the insert with a small ball peen hammer to make the holes necessary to fit the decal under the bridge.

Will playing through Fender amps destroy my Tbird mojo? Will I be banned? I'm auditioning this Thursday for some guys doing originals in the vein of early Zeppelin/Cream and a big part of their shtick is keeping with the vintage vibe so lucky for me I'll need a VP in sunburst and I'm really looking at the Fender Bassman 800 cause it's light, loud, great features and looks the part. Cabs? I'll fabricate some vintage grilles for my Hydrives.

Yeah, I would've happily played through the house Fender amp had another band's bassist not let me use his Ampeg. Not even sure I sounded great through the Ampeg, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose.

IIRC there have been some bad things said about that Marque previously, but that may be more it's not Fneder, they're MIC, than any real concerns.

I briefly had the hots for their Ampeg scroll bass knock off (before the things I had for Epi EB3Ls and Steinie XT2s) -- a passing crush.

Found a shop in Atlanta a few years back that carried a lot of Eastwood stuff. Loved the look of their Ampeg style basses too. Let’s just say I’m glad I tried one first :/
