I’ve only seen one Eastwood bass. A guy on OzBass has the hollow body. He seemed enraptured of it. It is a lefty so I didn’t have a go at it. Looked good though.

People used to like Edens because they sound ‘loud.’ That’s because they don’t have much low end...it’s a lot of lower mids and a pronounced honk around 800hz. So you can easily hear yourself, I just didn’t like what I was hearing when I had a couple, quite awhile back. But, I’m more than a little fussy about cabs
If we have similar tastes in music, does that mean you can clear a room with your playlist, because I sure have

The SBX's have been pretty good through more than 10 years of the band, I have no complaints - love the full width logo as well, my only real gripe is that the bearings fall out of the casters as they loosen up with age and use (but then who doesn't loosen up with age and use).
I wanted to say great playing on your videos as well, I couldn't listen to them until just now - well done, well played!

Are you anywhere near a music store where you can check some different cabs out... or are you having to go by reviews & recommendations?Just picked up a mint condition GK MB 500 for $395 shipped. Pretty happy. Now I've gotta figure out what cab to match with it.
If a cab has tweeters you want to be able to turn them off -- as an option at least.
I'll try to go by GC and Sam Ash. But I rarely ever find what I'm looking for when I want to check gear out and almost always have to buy online. I'm amazed at how limited the choices are in person considering both stores are in very high traffic areas in South Florida.

Anyone familiar with the GK 210 RBX? I see a used one.
Also, @kat888 ... I'm confused about the ohms. If the head does 500w at 4 ohms, and the cab (for example) does 400w RMS at 8 ohms... what am I actually putting out in wattage?

If your amp does 500 watts at 4 ohms (GK specs tend to be honest), then it probably does roughly 375 watts at 8 ohms. I’ve never tried the rbx 210 but the rbx 410 and rbx 115 are some of GK’s better cabs, imo. Could be a nice little cab, I’m thinking

The amp you just bought, is the same amp in my combo. It runs at 350 watts with an 8 ohm load, and 500 watts a 4 ohms. 2 - 8 ohm cabs provides a 4 ohm load.
Yeah, 300W-350W @ 8Ω, should be okay with a 400W RMS cab. Let your ears be your guide, if the cab is farting or sounds distressed then back the volume off ... and get a second cab.

That sounds like it should be fine. Don’t forget that when you are ready you can add a second 210 (the same one) and have a great modular set up.
He used to make me to go into ABH Pitt St to look at basses ... just so he could stand there for a while gazing at the Ric330 they had hanging on the wall. I offered to buy it for him if he promised to learn to play it.
