Thunderbird Club

That still seems big. As a Newby to working on instruments, read I'm not a Luthier, I have a lot to learn but one inch raise per thirty Inches seems like a lot. Am I understanding this incorrectly?

I was just giving a general answer. It's probably not more than 1.5 degrees (1 inch per 60 inches) or should be. Especially since the fretboard is already around .25 inch above the body at the neck pocket. Someone must know what angle Gibson is using, maybe they'll chime in.

I can't tell you the angle, but I can say on both my '76 birds the bridge is very low, one of them touching the body, one almost touching. On my 2011 there was a significant gap, if I remember right about 1/2" or a little more (I have a Hipshot bridge on now so I can't check), but enough that I could stick a finger under it. The Hipshot saddles are close to as high as they will go.

So, I'm laying in bed drinking my jack last week and it occurs to me... Leather pickguard! But I don't like the tooled look. Too cowboy for me. So today I glued a piece of scrap leather I had and BAM! Thanks to Larry for hookin me up with a killer decal!

here's a new topic, when the snow's finally gone where i am, i can break out the bandsaw & wood to esssentially start 3 builds (my MK II bird, a ripper body and Dan armstrong bass), & finish 2 others(my short scale supernova project & replace the body form the grabber i've built a few months ago). The Dan armstrong bass is for my dad, but it's when he'll want it, at least he knows it's his & he'll pay me for the work i do to it as well. I'll post pictures here of my MK II bird since it's a Thunderbird club :D

Made entirely of foam pieces over the course of a year (except for the mask, gloves) The upper body is attached at the back with strap webbing and snap buttons/buckles. The bottom portion are old leggings that my gf at the time had given me (the first time i had made the costume - this was the final version of it, it was significantly better cause it was mobility enhanced). Now within the mix of guitar/bass mods and builds, i'm remodeling the batsuit notably the gauntlets/gloves and mask/neck piece which the gauntlets are the same foam as the upper body and boots so they are thicker therefore less likely to break appart & the mask will also be made of thick foam & seperated from the neck portion so i can remove it ease and still keep my head warm.
