I'd probably call that 6 metres. It's not exact but for the purposes of shooting the sh!t on TB, it's perfectly adequate.

I use UPS a lot shipping basses/guitars and have had only one problem years ago during peak holiday time, which they addressed. I more commonly use USPS (necks and bodies) and FedEx not so much.

What is happening here is UPS, FedEx, and Amazon have gotten sweetheart deals with the P.O. so their volume is way up. Stuff sent actual USPS gets pushed to the back of the line.

I did a pickup trade with a guy in Italy a few years ago. Pickup I sent cost $15 USPS Priority Mail. The Italian used the privatized Italian P.O. to send me his Model 1, it cost him 50 Euro. His ItalPost stamped package arrived inside a FedEX box. They just walked it across the street.

IMO we're in the middle of experiencing something similar with the same outcome. I can send a cased bass to the EU or Far East for $125 Priority Mail. Cheapest UPS/Fedex is around $400.

Yeah, let's privatize the P.O. We've taken the first step: Provide crappy service to core customers with the help of shady deals given UPS, Fedex, and Amazon.

It looks to me that the advantage of the Vintage Ultra is that the OD circuit can be blended in. I don't know if it is reasonable to switch back and forth, or if it is like the TH and has volume matching problems.

The advantage of the TH is that it is paid for.

And cut is what I need when things start to feed back. The TH does that reasonably well. It does OD really badly.

I mail-ordered my first pedal, a TC Polytune, from a shop which is about an hour from me ... a 30 minute train ride give or take and a 15 minute walk plus waiting around time.

The pedal took a full 7 days to arrive. Once upon a time it would have been there next day or the day after, max. It appears this is a deliberate policy to discourage people using AusPost and to get them using couriers instead.

I learned my lesson. When I bought my first Epi Bird case, I took the train up and collected it myself.
