Thunderbird Club

hahaha funny as hell ! I think this crowd suits me to a T BIRD yuk yuk yuk (rimshot) try the veal I'll be here all week.
Aahhh... there he is now! A proud new 'bird owner!:thumbsup:

(listen man... you better say 'thank you' to the Duke. He's really stuck on taking credit for your T-bird purchase. I personally think he's just after the free toaster oven he gets for his first recruit;))

Enabling takes focus and dedication. All he said was, "nice pups, nice bass, great deal". That's nothing more than expressing and opinion (or in this case... stating facts). "Enabling" involves an individual who has expressed interest or need in a given bass, amp, etc. and chiseling away at their resistance and/or hesitation. It's deeply personal, and sometimes, even emotional. Your photos serve only to show how deficient his skills are (it's quite sad really)... but he's a stellar poster boy for the cause, and he tries in earnest. What more can we ask for:D:thumbsup:

So, while not everyone gets a trophy, you did just give me a ribbon. I happily receive this ribbon that says ‘also participated.’ :)

A Ric and a 'Bird are a fine combination.

A monument to midrange! Sweet, sweet barky midrange :)

I get a free toaster oven?! When the girl moved in last September, we had this conversation;
“You don’t have a microwave?”
“No, I don’t like microwaves.”
“Can we at least get a toaster oven?”

What a great day this is turning out to be!

(bill clinton voice on) it depends on what the definition of "spree" is ( voice off)

I have a brand new Ric 4003 arriving today .... is to arrive well in advance of the wife's coming home ..... until she text'd me and said her late meeting was cancelled and she'll be home early! *** .......

wow ... you can't type what the fudge on here
You can't even use their own WTeeF emoji!:roflmao:

(excellent impersonation btw! If I woulda had my eyes closed... I woulda sworn it was him!)

My wife has entered into this weird "no microwave" phase of her life... so now it takes a lot longer to warm stuff up and the $1,200 built-in stainless steel monster I installed 5 years ago serves as a timer and fan for the stove. (it's easier to set the timer on the microwave than on the stove)

I on the other hand still use it despite her objections.

Enjoy your toaster-over!

Thanks! My ex has this freaky phobia of microwaves, so I’ve gone without one for many years. Figure she musta been right about something

( sarcastic monotone voice on) THANKS DUKE FOR MAKING ME BUY THAT THUNDERBIRD ...... I'M SURE I'LL LOVE IT. (off)

but seriously ... thank you .....

(Hear that Mike?!)

Willie, I hope you love that T Bird. It’s a beauty and I seriously thought of buying it many times. I think I wound up buying 3 ‘Birds in less than two months, so I had to put the brakes on for fear that I’d have to reimbrace single life again if I didn’t slow down a bit :)

Neither my wife nor I have much use for a microwave. We have one, but it lives in a closet. There was a reason we got it, but that reason is long since passed. We really should send it on to somebody who will actually use it.

I'm kinda sore this morning. Playing a show is being a mover with bad hours and worse pay, at least for weekend warrior types like me. About a thousand pounds of PA, amps, and all that to load up, load in, set up, tear down, load out, and then unload. It's good exercise though. Plus, a couple hours of playing and jumping around works up a bit of a sweat. It was a weird one, though. In a retirement community. Most of the dancers had walkers. That's a new kind of audience for me. They seemed pretty happy, so that's all that really matters. And the P-Bird sounded very good through the 360. We kept having to turn down. I kinda liked it.

Better to have a rig that needs to be turned down than to have one that can’t turn up enough!

A 360 in a retirement home? Not surprised you had to turn down :)

(Good on ya tho)
