Thunderbird Club

Pretty much, yes. The only problem I’ll occasionally have is a sound person who feels they have a signature bass sound. Then I have to figure out how to politely point out that I have no interest in their ideal bass sound. I want mine for better or worse. I’ve caught so many engineers trying to take out the ‘click’ sound on the upright because they don’t really like the slap upright sound. We will have words when that happens. I’ve also had them try to scoop my electric sound, which will get a negative response from me every time. I don’t want a smiley face, I want an Elvis face :)
This is a reason I'm not unhappy that I don't have FOH support all the time. The idea that a sound guy would remove some of the finger noises from upright, let alone the clicky, is completely irritating.

I have to play on so many different rigs that I tend to get it to a point that I say, "Yeah, that sounds good," and I'm done.

There is a point where we have to let go and get on with the task at hand

And because of how truly terrible typical American yellow mustard is in comparison to anything remotely "real".

Growing up I thought I didn’t much care for mustard because of all the awful yellow stuff in the house...didn’t take long after moving out though :)

I just got my Epi Vintage PRO TB a couple of days ago and it's freaking awesome. Can I join this club?

Thought someone would like to see a pic of my Tight Arse.

It is resting on a pad of post it notes.
In on one side, out on the other.

I thought it a good idea and it suits my simplicity leanings. I’m a bit clueless in this stuff (that noise was my Father rolling in is grave) No idea if it works ! But I think it does which is what matters I guess. :D

As I said before it is the mk1, mk2 has an adjuster, mk3 is still taking orders before assembly of the batch (1 batch only I think was the deal for all of these) but has HPF LPF both adjustable and needs power.

Thanks Geoff, I've always wanted to see your Tight Arse. Like the box (sorry!)

Think adjustable is the way to go and can't see myself needing the LPF function. I'll make my mind up one of these months.

Yeah, ‘doublers’ and people with 8 stringers seem keen.

I expect some mk11s will pop up in the classifieds when the 3s get built and delivered.
Not sure that ‘box included’ will be part of the deal :roflmao:
