Thunderbird Club

Joined the Epi crowd this week. Actually joined in December but had to send original bass back. It sat at a FedEx hub for 4 days in sub freezing temps. Ouch! Developed a finish crack in the neck so this is a replacement for the first one. I understand we need to be aware the G string needs to be long enough. What flats are you guys having good luck with?

Hey, Oliver from Chile here, I registered only to be part of the club! Excuse my english btw.

Bought this Epi TBird-IV a week ago or so, I decided myself for a cheap option mainly cuz I want to make some upgrades on the way and see how it goes, it also helps me to reach my personal sound signature, I think (I hope).

Im mostly a guitar player and this is my first bass, been reading a lot from u guys lately!

Cheers!

Awesome! Pixu, I'll add you to the club later this evening, can I do the same for you @DLEE ?

Nice choice my friend:thumbsup:

I'll encourage you to spend some time with it before concerning yourself with upgrades. You may save yourself some time and money;)

Speaking of Hex.

I've been wanting to ask @dukeorock, about that sweet Hex job on the doghouse. Did BC? do that graphic or? Because whoever, and however it was done- it turned out really, really nice!
And you've probably mentioned the who's it's and the what's it's about it before, but the search function here makes Siri, look good.
And this is talkbass after all, the place to ah, em' like talk 'n' stuff.

The pinstriper/artist at Blast Cult did it. She was younger and from SoCal and had no clue what Amish hexes were. I sent her pictures and links, which she loved. I’m very happy with it...it’s a great bass :)

Now this is really cool! I'm so glad that I asked ya' about it because you did, have a Mojo hand in it's creation.

This is important, to the Pow-Wow man.

And re; the Dietrich, T-Bird logo-graphic on the pg's. This segues to another aspect of BC. IIRC they made an EB, that had a very similar vibe to the T-Bird form. But when I just checked the Blast Cult (@blastcult) • Instagram photos and videos I wasn't able to scope it out. There was one similar to a non-reverse, and I seen the V guitar. And this all leads me to asking if you, or any of the other clubber's here have seen-or currently own a T-Bird with graphics on it? IIRC @JIO methinks has one, at least on the backside of his Saudersbird? is there anyone else?

Herr Hex, set me to thinking this sort of thing would be Über fly, on a T-Bird.

A custom Blast Cult build, Hex T-Bird Oy Vey!

Blast Cult has the Gris-Gris in spades!

Is a T - Bird really complete without the bird on the pickguard?

The Nikki Sixx, Blackbird has a modified 'Bird Maltese Cross logo and the red has his XX' logo on it, so yep I would go with still a 'Bird, even without Dietrich's Duck on it.
