Thunderbird Club

After making pickguards for 2 plus years for all the different models including NR's, here's what I've learned:

*Modern Gibson PG's will look right and sometimes the holes will line up on other modern Gibsons.

*Modern Gibson PG's will look right on Epi CP's but the holes will not line up.

*No Epi PG's of dissimilar make will fit on any other Epi model. IV's won't fit on Goths; won't fit on CP's; won't fit on Pro IV's and any other combo in reverse... they just don't have a crossover on their shape or screw locations.

*Also, the Studio PG's are an animal all unto themselves and is the most wrong looking PG in the flock.

@hillerup, the seller is selling these to fit modern Gibsons so I'd surmise that they will look good on your Classic Pros and your modern Gibsons. For your Epi's, you'd want to remove one of you Gibson or Epi CP PG's to do a trial fit to see if you could mount that PG onto your bass while covering the existing holes and having the PG on the horn where you'd like it to be.

...and yes, I have stopped making PG's.

This is a SERIOUS message to everybody reading my update right now.

Peace and love, peace and love.

I want to tell you, please, after the 19th of March do not refer anymore PG work.

Nothing will be considered after the 19th of March.

If that request or referral has a date on it beyond the 19th, it will not be made by me.

I'm warning you with peace and love but I have too much to do.

So no more PG requests.

Thank you, Thank you,

uhhh...

Anyway, peace and love, peace and love.

Apologies to Ringo.

Good thing I got an autograph from Ringo many years ago... Might actually be something worth now! :)

Might actually just take the two black pickguards from my Pro IV and Pro V and use on both my CP's, as I "might" go chrome on both my Pro's instead...

Yeah, but I'm working overnight on a big project. Plenty of waiting around time to natter on here.
That means we have to do the tag team entertainment or she'll get bored. Then she'll knock over potted plants, claw the curtains, and get into all kinds of other trouble. We had best be on it.

Just get an external hard drive. Do a Time Machine backup on the external… then plug the external to the new iMac.;)

That’s what I’m doing...but the old computer crashes every 5-10 minutes...not fun :/

There’s that cute kitten again! :)

I was actually gonna go with black chrome pickup covers and rings on both of them, but Invalid Link Removed no longer sell those in black chrome (they were the only ones selling them). So now I will have to go chrome, if I can find suitable bridges for them - It’s either that, or keep them stock...

So in my quest for a custom pick guard I'm a day late and a dollar short. Crud. What about those laser etched aluminum ones I've seen on Reverb? Of course there's Pickguardian but is that all there is?

I had a new pick guard for my BaCH NR made for me by Chandler - Super nice!
