Nice cars the old Astons, always well made, crazy money these days. I very nearly bought a DB5 in the mid 80s for £3000 in pretty decent condition but I didn't because my father persuaded me it would be a waste of money. Shortly afterwards they started rocketing in price well out of my budget

My best friend and fellow model railroader also has a few cars/motorcycles........'60s BSA's in the fore ground, the GTO is a Ground up, numbers matching restoration that took a Concourse Gold Ribbon at the National Convention two years ago. If you look closely you'll see the nose of a blue '71 Firebird in the next carpeted stall over, it's an equally fine restoration.

If that came from Oz I went to school with the (a?) owners son. He had a C type prior to the Dtype, and took a career change into a Classic car restoration business in Sydney.

On our last family trip to Florida, we picked up an immaculate 2006 HHR with only 48,800 miles on the clock for $4,000! What a great first vehicle for a 16 y/o. Low cost, great mileage and tons of storage with the seats folded flat.

Looks really small next to the family hauler but it's a good place for a kid to start.
