I have been thinking about adding chrome pickups to my BlackBird but wasn't sure how it would look. This happened to turn up on eBay today so I snagged a couple pics from the listing. Thoughts/opinions?

I have a Squier VM Jaguar SS that's all gloss black except for a chrome strip at the controls. I can put a black or a chrome bridge cover on it. Any thoughts?

Kinda what I was thinking. It's my backup bass and I'm not gonna put much in it, but a chrome bridge cover would set it off. Plus the black one is matte. BTW, how's Wendy doing? Addendum: upped and ordered the chrome one, should be here b4 next time I use that bass(another tight space).

Kinda what I was thinking. It's my backup bass and I'm not gonna put much in it, but a chrome bridge cover would set it off. Plus the black one is matte. BTW, how's Wendy doing?

Try and get hold of a decent bridge with the 5 screw fitting before you drill for a cover, I was amazed at the difference it made to my Jazz over the bent bit of tin Fender supplied.

She's OK, all plastered up and feeling sorry for herself, mostly because she can't do anything. Apparently she made a good job of breaking it, her Ulna was the victim. It was such a small fall too, I was surprised she broke anything but that's getting older I guess. We saw our doctor yesterday and she has set her up with an appointment with the local fracture clinic so we should find out soon how long this is going to take to mend

Nice cars the old Astons, always well made, crazy money these days. I very nearly bought a DB5 in the mid 80s for £3000 in pretty decent condition but I didn't because my father persuaded me it would be a waste of money. Shortly afterwards they started rocketing in price well out of my budget
