LOL My next door neighbour (the one with the E type) had an RV8 about 10 years ago, he hated it as it was too powerful for the old technology of the chassis. Eventually put it through a wall when it wouldn't straighten up out of a bend. He went back to Jags after that

to the missus : ) I am very impressed so far, This one has some weight to it and comes in at over 10 lbs. The neck seems a bit beefier than my white one, might be my imagination I'll have to do a side by side comparison . This bass has the newer tuners, I am not keen on them and will swap them out at some point. Even with the $100 increase this bass is a Bargain!

The Supertone is a great bridge I just found it a bit too bulky, the Babicz has a lower profile, which I find is more comfortable.

Where did you get the babicz? Bassdirect used to sell them but they seem to have stopped, they would have been my first choice but they only have the Hipshot now

When I was a teen I wanted a EB3 in the worst way because of Jim. The Thunderbird won out in the end to become my bass of choice.

Well, I sorta beat you out/lived your dream:started on an EB-3, switched to my TBird-and never looked back.

I kinda wish I'd kept my '66 EB-3 but I wasn't using it and I figured it needed to be played. Then the guy who bought it (in Canada) couldn't get used to it, sold it (to a guy in Nashville) and got a 7ender. The bass made 2 long trips for nothing. Shoulda kept itBTW, I'd wanted one of those Bassman tens-'til I lifted it

I have a problem: I have to change the pickups of the NR but I can't unsolder the wire braid of the pickups, it has already happened to you ?

I added my tin to mix with that on the potentiometer but there is nothing to do...
