I'm personally really happy you get through strings as fast as you do. That way I don't have to try quite so many different strings to have an idea of what they are like.
Ha! Well, with roundwounds on T Birds, I personally like em really fresh, especially for recording. The set that was on there weren’t bad. If it were a P bass I would’ve left em on a bit longer. My ‘02 has Cobalt flats. It’s ‘that’ sound, but you don’t have to think about changing them too often. They sound more or less the same for a very long time. The piano just doesn’t get terribly angry with those as much as with fresh rounds
