I like to give credit. That came from a story about a guy who gets in a cab in Boston and says he wants to get scrod. Cabbie answers that he'd been asked b4 but never in the "past pluperfect"

String update. All my local stores only carry Rotos in the SS version, so I ordered a set of nickels online and thought they were pretty darn good. A friend of mine loves the stainless Rotos so I just put em on my 2014 Gibson ‘Bird. They aren’t terrible, but I don’t see me ever getting em again. For SS strings, I still prefer DR Lo Riders

A friend of mine loves the stainless Rotos so I just put em on my 2014 Gibson ‘Bird. They aren’t terrible, but I don’t see me ever getting em again. For SS strings, I still prefer DR Lo Riders

I tried DRs and that's what I have on my 7enders now. They last long and sound ok, but they don't slice through the way Rotos do IMHO

On the TBirds, the Ernie Ball are not bad either.
I buy a set of Roto 66LD in stainless and nickel, I will ride them to test, this is the first time I take these strings.

I am in Phoenix now (or in one of the suburbs really). I still have friends in Glasgow, Edmonton, and Lexington tho.

Yes, I find they lack personality, warmth, so of what makes a Tbird......a Tbird.

I'm personally really happy you get through strings as fast as you do. That way I don't have to try quite so many different strings to have an idea of what they are like.
