The smoke detector will detect smoke before you can smell it. The minute or two advantage it can give you can be the difference between escape and a fiery death.

1. Put battery in smoke detector
2. Put smoke detector back up
3. Get power supply
4. Get pedal board
5. Put power supply and pedals on pedal board
6. Make list of which basses to grab in case of fire
